Marimekko Putkinotko Fabric
Maija Isola designed the Putkinotko fabric in 1957 as part of the Luonto series, in which real plants were used to create photogram-like prints. Putkinotko features angelica whose leaves have withered away, leaving behind the stalk and the semi-spherical seed heads. The pattern calls to mind summer roadsides brimming with wildflowers.
